The Just-Us League have had a great year! Not only did we start our website and blog, but lots of our members have published books and stories, some for the very first time.
We’ve released our first three anthologies, From the Stories of Old (December 2016), Between Heroes and Villains (June 2017), and Whispers in the Shadows (October 2017). We look forward to announcing future anthologies during 2018, so make sure you check back in the new year for news on our next project! Don’t forget, you can also follow the Just-Us League on Facebook and Twitter, too.

Finally, we’d like to share our members’ wrap-ups of 2017 and exciting writing plans for 2018:
Heather Hayden
“In 2017, I expected to finish and release Upgrade, the sequel to my first novel, Augment. However, the editing process has taken longer than planned. As I am at last approaching the final editing stages, I now plan to release it in 2018, and I can’t wait to share the continued adventures of Viki and Halle! Also arriving in 2018 will be the first book of an eight-book gaslamp fantasy fairy tale retelling series. When magic and technology mix, the results are often unexpected! My first collaborative work will be releasing in 2018 as well–a fun fantasy novella I cowrote with fellow JL member Kristy Perkins, it contains magic, dragons, and adventure. As for the secret projects I have in the works…well, more information on those will be forthcoming soon.”
Alyson Bowen
“January 12th is the deadline for Secret Project #1. Secret Project #1 is pretty much done at this point, so right now I’m focusing on editing Secret Project #2 (the next draft is due at midnight on Dec. 31st). March 14th is the final deadline for Secret Project #2. And in September, I start Secret Project #3. Between those, I will focus on editing Powerful and actually starting on one of my still-unnamed fairy tale retellings.”
Elise Edmonds
“I won’t be officially setting 2018 writing goals, but I do have plenty of projects on the go, so stay tuned for updates! Early in the year, I shall have an exciting announcement about fairy tales, which I can’t wait to share…”
The Just-Us League wish you all a very Happy New Year!
